California High School Basketball - Davis can't hold off Downey

The Downey Knights basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Davis Spartans to 53 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Knights now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host River Islands for a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. Downey will play a Riptide squad coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Ripon Christian (Ripon, CA). The Riptide record now stands at 7-2.
Next up, the Spartans play the Modesto Panthers (Modesto, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Davis will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 55-23 non-league loss to Turlock (Turlock, CA).
