Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL), 54-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Palatine upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Pirates host Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Hoffman Estates lost 66-65 in their recent non-league bout against Taft (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Amundsen Vikings (Chicago, IL) in a bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Von Steuben will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 61-50 league win over Schurz (Chicago, IL).
