Iowa High School Basketball - Kingsley-Pierson holds off Akron-Westfield

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Kingsley-Pierson Panthers basketball team scored a close 54-50 triumph over the Akron-Westfield Westerners.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westwood (Sloan, IA). The Rebels go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Westwood was tipped by Hinton (Hinton, IA), 71-32, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Westerners confront the Harris-Lake Park Wolves (Lake Park, IA) in a War Eagle contest, on Friday, December 13. Akron-Westfield will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 47-35 league loss to Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
