The Damien Spartans basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting Canyon Cowboys to 71 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Damien will confront a Panthers team coming off a 48-46 non-league win over Legacy (South Gate, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Canyon falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA) to confront the Grizzlies in a Foothill game on Friday, December 13. The Grizzlies go into the game with a record of 5-3.
