In Monday's non-league contest, the host Cherry Tigers basketball team scored a big 73-42 triumph over the Marshall Hilltoppers.
The Tigers (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ada-Borup/Norman County West (Ada, MN). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Ada-Borup/Norman County West smashed Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN), 76-67, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hilltoppers battle the Pine City Dragons (Pine City, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 14. Marshall will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
