In Monday's non-league contest, the host Kountze Lions basketball team scored a big 87-49 triumph over the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans.

The Lions (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 8-2 record.

The Trojans now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shepherd for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 12. Coldspring-Oakhurst will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 69-33 non-league win over New Waverly (New Waverly, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 9-4.
