In Monday's non-league contest, the host Woodland Warriors basketball team scored a good 57-47 triumph over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers.
The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Minutemen go into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Lexington topped Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL), 62-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) in a River Valley contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 52-50 non-league loss to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL).
