In Monday's non-league test, the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) basketball squad defeated the host Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA), by a score of 33-24.

Next, the Westerners clash with the Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 10. Akron-Westfield will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.

The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Westwood (Sloan, IA). The Rebels come into the Western Valley - North test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Westwood went down by Hinton (Hinton, IA), 62-35, in a non-league test.
