Virginia High School Basketball - Great Bridge holds off Currituck County

December 9, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23322

The Great Bridge Wildcats basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Currituck County Knights to 50 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ocean Lakes for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 11. Great Bridge will confront a Dolphins team coming off a 73-51 league loss to Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA). The Dolphins record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Currituck County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 2-1. Perquimans lost 63-56 in their recent non-league game against Camden County (Camden, NC)
