    Freer Buckaroos (Freer, TX) backers went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX), 62-57 in a non-league contest.

    The Buckaroos (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against George West (George West, TX). The Longhorns come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, George West was tipped by Pettus (Pettus, TX), 61-59, in a non-league contest.

    In their next game, the Cowboys battle the St. Paul Cardinals (Shiner, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 11. Cotulla will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 6-3 record after their 95-50 non-league win over Keystone (San Antonio, TX).
