The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wallkill Panthers (Wallkill, NY) and the visiting Highland Huskies (Highland, NY), observed Wallkill's basketball team overcome Highland by a margin of 66-53.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY). The Presidents enter the Section 9 Mid Hudson I match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Roosevelt lost by Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY), 76-61, in a non-league match.

The Huskies now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellenville for a Section 9 Mid Hudson III contest on Friday, December 12. Highland will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 67-46 league loss to Onteora (Boiceville, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
