In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host South View Tigers basketball team scored a close 75-72 triumph over the Pinecrest Patriots.

The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league match with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Lumberton got by Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC), 58-56, in a non-league match.

The Patriots now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host E.E. Smith for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. Pinecrest will face a Golden Bulls squad coming off a 60-53 non-league win over Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls record now stands at 3-1.
