Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) backers went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team smash the host Hubbard Jaguars (Hubbard, TX), 52-17 in a non-league contest.

The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bosqueville (Waco, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region II District 12 contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Bosqueville smashed Rogers (Rogers, TX), 59-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Frost Polar Bears (Frost, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 contest, on Friday, December 19. Hubbard will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record.
