North Carolina High School Basketball - Marvin Ridge thwarts Myers Park

Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) and the visiting Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Marvin Ridge's basketball squad run past Myers Park by a count of 42-25.

With the victory, Marvin Ridge advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to battle the Panthers in a Southern Carolina 6A/7A contest on Friday, December 12. The Panthers go into the contest with a record of 6-2. Piedmont won 66-36 in their recent non-league contest against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC)

The Mustangs now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Providence for a non-league match on Friday, December 12. Myers Park will face a Panthers squad coming off a 75-54 non-league win over Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.
