The Coffeeville Pirates (Coffeeville, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS), 67-55 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (19-5) will now prepare for their test against J.Z. George (North Carrollton, MS). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, J.Z. George went down by Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS), 63-46, in a league test.
The Chargers now own a 12-7 record. They play next when they host South Panola for a non-league test on Thursday, February 3. Oxford will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-39 non-league loss to Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-11.
