Norborne Pirates (Norborne, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northwestern Eagles (Mendon, MO), 54-47 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Norborne improves its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Pirates host Meadville (Meadville, MO) to confront the Eagles in a Tri-County - Northeast challenge on Tuesday, February 15. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-12.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs (Bucklin, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 3. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record.
