The Goodland Cowboys basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Burlington Cougars to 32 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cowboys now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holcomb for a non-league contest on Friday, February 4. Goodland will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 53-38 non-league loss to Hugoton (Hugoton, KS). The Longhorns record now stands at 7-7.
The Cougars (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Akron (Akron, CO). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Akron was ripped by Merino (Merino, CO), 44-37, in a league game.
