Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cleveland Warriors (Portland, OR), 61-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season.

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Roosevelt Roughriders (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland bout, on Thursday, February 3. Cleveland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 63-45 non-league loss to Southridge (Beaverton, OR).
