Thomas Jefferson Spartans (Denver, CO) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Denver North Vikings (Denver, CO), 60-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Thomas Jefferson upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Spartans host Regis Groff (Denver, CO) to play the Fusion in a 5A/4A Denver Prep bout on Saturday, February 4. The Fusion go into the bout with a record of 1-15. Regis Groff lost 71-28 in their recent league bout against Northfield (Denver, CO)

Next up, the Vikings play the Evergreen Cougars (Evergreen, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Denver North will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 68-41 league win over Wheat Ridge (Wheat Ridge, CO).
