The Waldron Spartans basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers to 49 in the Spartans league victory on Wednesday.
The Spartans now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Colon for a Southern Central contest on Friday, February 3. Waldron will battle a Magi team coming off a 50-48 league loss to Pittsford (Pittsford, MI). The Magi record now stands at 7-5.
The Fighting Tigers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pittsford (Pittsford, MI). The Wildcats come into the Southern Central contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Pittsford edged Burr Oak (Burr Oak, MI), 59-48, in a league contest.
