The Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN) basketball knocked off the visiting Apple Valley Eagles (Apple Valley, MN), 50-31 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Millers (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN). The Lakers go into the AAAA Section 6 test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Minneapolis Southwest notched a victory over North Community (Minneapolis, MN), 54-29, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-17 record. They play next when they host Rosemount for a AAAA Section 3 test on Friday, February 3. Apple Valley will encounter a Irish squad coming off a 51-49 non-league loss to Lakeville North (Lakeville, MN). The Irish record now stands at 11-4.
