Beacon Hill Gryphon (Camarillo, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host La Reina Regents (Thousand Oaks, CA), 34-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Beacon Hill upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season.

Next up, the Regents clash with the Thacher Toads (Ojai, CA) in a Frontier bout, on Thursday, February 2. La Reina will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Toads go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 37-30 league win over Villanova Prep (Ojai, CA).
