Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) and the visiting Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME), saw Mount Desert Island's basketball squad knock off Bucksport by a count of 46-34.

With the victory, Mount Desert Island upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Washington Academy (East Machias, ME) to play the Raiders in a B North challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Washington Academy lost 50-30 in their recent league challenge against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)

Next up, the Golden Bucks play the Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME) in a B North challenge, on Friday, February 3. Bucksport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 15-0 record after their 47-26 league win over Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME).
