Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA), saw Obama Academy of International Studies's basketball squad knock off Gateway by a tally of 49-40.

With the victory, Obama Academy of International Studies improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign.

Next up, the Gators play the Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Gateway will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 44-40 league loss to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA).
