Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME), 50-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Abraham upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Spaulding (Barre, VT) to play the Crimson Tide in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Crimson Tide come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Spaulding won 37-33 in their recent league bout against Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT)

Next up, the Rebels play the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) in a C South bout, on Friday, February 3. Telstar will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 85-32 league loss to North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME).
