The McCann Tech Hornets basketball team scored 19 points and restricted the host Athol Bears to 17 in the Hornets league victory on Wednesday.

The Hornets now sport a 1-0 record.

The Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Turners Falls (Montague, MA). The Thunder come into the contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Turners Falls was nudged by Athol (Athol, MA), 39-10, in a league contest.
