The Akron Rams basketball team (Akron, CO), was overwhelmed 55-31 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE)

The Plainsmen now possess a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bayard for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Perkins County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 77-35 non-league loss to Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 6-14.

The Rams (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Merino (Merino, CO). The Rams come into the 3A/2A Lower Platte battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Merino was overwhelmed by Limon (Limon, CO), 62-46, in a non-league battle.
