Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Port Huron Red Hawks (Port Huron, MI), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Anchor Bay upgrades its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Tars host Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI) to play the Falcons in a Macomb Area - Blue bout on Monday, February 5. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Utica Ford won 47-38 in their recent league bout against Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI)

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Marysville Vikings (Marysville, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Port Huron will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 49-35 league win over Marine City (Marine City, MI).
