Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples trounces Bridgeport Central

The Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) basketball crushed the host Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT), 67-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Wreckers (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Warde (Fairfield, CT). The Mustangs go into the Fairfield County test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Warde walloped Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 51-35, in a league test.

The Hilltoppers now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they travel to Wilton for a Fairfield County test on Tuesday, February 6. Bridgeport Central will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 52-46 league loss to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 8-6.
