The Chaputnguak Shaman (Chefornak, AK) basketball felled the host Dillingham Wolverines (Dillingham, AK), 45-27 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Shaman (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Nelson Island (Toksook Bay, AK). The Islanders go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Nelson Island thwarted Kalskag (Upper Kalskag, AK), 87-41, in a non-league test.
The Wolverines now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Dillingham will encounter a Carayiit squad coming off a 51-45 non-league win over Emmonak (Emmonak, AK). The Carayiit record now stands at 8-5.
