Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Panorama Pythons (Panorama City, CA), 55-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chavez upgrades its record to 3-16 on the campaign. The Eagles host Arleta (Arleta, CA) to play the Mustangs in a East Valley bout on Friday, February 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 13-10. Arleta lost 69-56 in their recent league bout against Grant (Van Nuys, CA)

Next up, the Pythons play the Reseda Regents (Reseda, CA) in a Valley Mission bout, on Friday, February 2. Panorama will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Regents come into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 63-50 league loss to Kennedy (Granada Hills, CA).
