The Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) basketball nipped the visiting Highland Huskies (Riverside, IA), 56-50 in Thursday's league test.
The Wildcats (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA). The Falcons go into the SEI - North test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Louisa-Muscatine was tipped by Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA), 62-59, in a league test.
The Huskies now own a 1-17 record. They play next when they travel to Keota for a non-league test on Monday, February 5. Highland will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 83-40 non-league win over Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 19-0.
