Deer River Warriors (Deer River, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Ridge Panthers (Culver, MN), 84-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Deer River upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Chisholm (Chisholm, MN) to play the Bluestreaks in a A Section 7 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bluestreaks come into the bout with a record of 9-9. Chisholm lost 96-38 in their recent league bout against Cherry (Iron, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN) in a A Section 7 bout, on Friday, February 2. South Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Mercuries come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 89-85 league loss to Northland (Remer, MN).
