Sarcoxie Bears (Sarcoxie, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Exeter Tigers (Exeter, MO), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sarcoxie upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Bears travel to Pierce City (Pierce City, MO) to play the Eagles in a Southwest bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Pierce City lost 58-26 in their recent league bout against Stockton (Stockton, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Sheldon Panthers (Sheldon, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Exeter will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 60-38 league win over Chilhowee (Chilhowee, MO).
