In Thursday's non-league outing, the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes (Waverly, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Flandreau Indian Indians (Flandreau, SD), by a count of 56-35.
The Coyotes (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Warner (Warner, SD). The Monarchs go into the B Region 1 outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Warner was crushed by Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD), 49-36, in a league outing.
The Indians now hold a 0-10 record. They play next when they host Tiospa Zina for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Flandreau Indian will clash with a Wambdi squad coming off a 62-53 league loss to Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD). The Wambdi record now stands at 7-6.
