The Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves (Maywood, NE) basketball nipped the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), 48-45 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wolves (16-2) will now prepare for their test against Hitchcock County (Trenton, NE). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Hitchcock County got by Rawlins County (Atwood, KS), 54-52, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Grand Island Central Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Hershey will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 52-25 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, NE). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-10.
