Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY) and the host Ryle Raiders (Union, KY), saw Highlands's basketball squad knock off Ryle by a tally of 65-52.

With the victory, Highlands improves its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Bluebirds travel to Bellevue (Bellevue, KY) to play the Tigers in a District 36 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 12-10. Bellevue lost 80-41 in their recent league challenge against Newport (Newport, KY)

Next up, the Raiders play the Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Ryle will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record.
