In Thursday's league outing, the Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC), by a margin of 57-35.
The Eagles (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Coastal Christian (Wilmington, NC). The Centurions go into the NCISAA Coastal Plain outing with a 15-13 record. In their last outing, Coastal Christian was trounced by Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC), 52-38, in a league outing.
The Saints now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they host Howard for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. John Paul II Catholic will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 79-64 league loss to Wayne Preparatory Academy (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 12-4.
