In Thursday's non-league outing, the Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA) basketball squad beat the host Kinder Yellowjackets (Kinder, LA), by a margin of 58-48.

The Tigers (13-10) will now prepare for their outing against Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Greyhounds go into the 2A District 5 outing with a 12-11 record. In their last outing, Welsh was beaten by DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA), 64-56, in a league outing.

The Yellowjackets now own a 8-21 record. They play next when they host South Beauregard for a 3A District 3 outing on Friday, February 2. Kinder will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 59-46 league loss to Jennings (Jennings, LA). The Knights record now stands at 12-13.
