Luther Prep Phoenix (Watertown, WI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Francis Mariners (St. Francis, WI), 69-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Luther Prep upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Phoenix host University School of Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI) to play the Wildcats in a Midwest Classic bout on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-9. University School of Milwaukee lost 51-46 in their recent non-league battle against The Prairie School (Racine, WI)

The Mariners (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Ozaukee (Fredonia, WI). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Ozaukee beat Hilbert (Hilbert, WI), 79-38, in a non-league battle.
