The Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) basketball crushed the host Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL), 72-43 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Braves (23-1) will now prepare for their test against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Crimsons go into the non-league test with a 11-15 record. In their last test, Jacksonville was trounced by Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL), 55-44, in a league test.
The Cyclones now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to Jacksonville for a Central State Eight test on Friday, February 2. Sacred Heart-Griffin will encounter a Crimsons squad coming off a 55-42 league loss to Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Crimsons record now stands at 11-14.
