The N.C. School for the Deaf Bears basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind Cardinals to 33 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tennessee School for the Deaf for a Freelance contest on Monday, February 5. N.C. School for the Deaf will face a Vikings team coming off a 59-41 league loss to Knoxville Christian (Knoxville, TN). The Vikings record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind moves to 1-4 on the year. The Cardinals host Tennessee School for the Deaf (Knoxville, TN) to face the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 6. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 3-9. Tennessee School for the Deaf won 49-38 in their recent league game against N.C. School for the Deaf (Morganton, NC)
