St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), 75-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Edmond upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Gaels host Algona (Algona, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a North Central bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Indians play the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 3-15 record after their 66-26 non-league loss to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA).
