In their next game, the Northern Lights face the Newhalen Malamutes (Newhalen, AK) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 2. Shishmaref will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Malamutes enter the game with a 4-6 record after their 60-26 non-league loss to Lumen Christi (Anchorage, AK).

With the defeat, White Mountain moves to 4-5 on the year.
