The Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes to 31 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Chiefs now sport a 27-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridgeview for a Heart Of Illinois contest on Monday, February 5. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 49-32 league win over Fisher (Fisher, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-17.
