Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Landry Buccaneers (New Orleans, LA), 43-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Academy of Our Lady upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Penguins host L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA) to play the Hurricanes in a 4A District 10 bout on Monday, February 5. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 18-4.

Next up, the Buccaneers play the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs (New Orleans, LA) in a 4A District 10 bout, on Monday, February 5. Landry will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 36-26 league loss to Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA).
