Nebraska High School Basketball - Perkins County topped by Akron

February 1, 2024: Grant, NE 69140

The Akron Rams basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Perkins County Plainsmen to 38 in the Rams non-league victory on Thursday.

The Rams now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Merino for a 3A/2A Lower Platte contest on Friday, February 2. Akron will battle a Rams team coming off a 61-37 non-league win over Limon (Limon, CO). The Rams record now stands at 13-0.

The Plainsmen (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bayard (Bayard, NE). The Tigers come into the C2 District 12 contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, Bayard was defeated by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE), 72-29, in a non-league contest.
