The Ash Grove Pirates basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Greenwood Blue Jays to 32 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Conway for a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. Ash Grove will play a Bears squad coming off a 67-29 league loss to Norwood (Norwood, MO). The Bears record now stands at 6-14.

Next up, the Blue Jays play the Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Greenwood will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 64-36 non-league win over New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO).
