Illinois High School Basketball - Flanagan/Woodland overwhelmed by Lexington

The Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Flanagan/Woodland Falcons to 25 in the Minutemen league victory on Thursday.

The Minutemen now sport a 13-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Paso-Gridley for a Heart Of Illinois contest on Monday, February 5. Lexington will battle a Titans team coming off a 45-36 league loss to Eureka (Eureka, IL). The Titans record now stands at 13-11.

The Falcons (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights come into the Heart Of Illinois contest with a 19-8 record. In their last contest, Fieldcrest was routed by Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL), 58-39, in a league contest.
