In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting GEO Next Generation Tigers basketball team scored a tight 45-44 triumph over the Varnado Wildcats.
In their next game, the Tigers meet the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 5. GEO Next Generation will attempt to move on its 20-9 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 58-36 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, LA).
With the defeat, Varnado moves to 6-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA) to meet the Rebels in a 1A District 10 match on Friday, February 2. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 4-7. Riverside Academy lost 38-7 in their recent non-league match against Maurepas (Maurepas, LA)
